Please feel free to listen to or download my free midi files. I have an assorted varitey of midi files that I hope appeal to you. Classic rock and roll, new rock files, and of course the great oldies, 50"s and 60's. Good Vibrations Are Sure To Come Your Way! So You Want To Add A Midi File On Your Own Web Site? Cool, I got you coverd. The Web Definition of a MIDI FILE IS - A standard file format (sometimes called Standard MIDI Files or SMF) used by computers for encoding MIDI sequence data. Type 1 MIDI files are multitrack, multichannel format while Type 0 files place all the data from multiple tracks onto a single multichannel track. MIDI files are usually given the extension “.MID”. A MIDI file is an electronic composition of music. They are much smaller than a .WAV files, so they load into your visitors browsers much faster. The smaller a file is the faster it will load. There are several ways you can add a MIDI file to your website page. You can (embed) add MIDI files into your web site as backround music or provide them as a clickable link. If you decide to embed a MIDI file on your page you may do it as I have done on this website, with a small console which will start or stop the music as the visitor wishes. You can also embed them without the small console, ( invisible ) and they will play without your visitors having access or ability to control the stop and start the music. In any event, you will need to add a small piece of html code in to the body section of your homepage in order to make them play...Here are a few different types of instructions and the html midi code that will do that for you... PLEASE UPLOAD YOUR MIDI FILES TO YUR OWN SERVER. DO NOT LINK DIRECT FROM MY SITE. SO DOWNLOAD THE MIDI FILES TO YOUR PUTER, AND THEN UPLOAD INTO YOUR OWN EDITING SHELLS, OR FTP INTO YOUR DIRECTORY. Now lets say you do not want your midi to start automaticly, well that can be changed, where you see AUTOSTART="TRUE" simply change it to "FALSE" got it? cool, Now for the LOOP="1" That means the song will play only once when folks go to that web site page. If you want them to hear it more then once and play continually, raise the number up.. ex. adding the number 5 will play the midi song continues while your site visiter is on that page. HIDDEN="FALSE" That means the midi console will be invisable.. If you want your visiters to see the console and have some control, then change the command to "TRUE" Hey I will be adding another midi sourc code thats way cool.
